Individual psychotherapy

To make long-lasting change, I want us to build, together, an understanding of what’s at the root of your struggles. I will listen with attention to detail, significant words, non-verbal cues and to the way your body speaks to help you gain awareness of important patterns of behavior, thoughts, and feelings. I will be attuned to your culture, upbringing and intergenerational inheritances.

With my guidance, you will make meaning of your past and present experiences, including those you have in the room with me. I strive to offer you a space where you feel safe to express yourself openly, and where we can use playfulness and creativity to enrich the therapeutic process. It is my hope that you will be able to listen to yourself in a whole new way that makes the impossible feel possible.

Pre-teens and Adolescents

I believe that the therapeutic space for pre-teens and adolescents can promote lasting changes in how they see themselves and others, and in how they deal with their emotions. Now more than ever, they need a place to think, speak and dream, unencumbered by pressures of our highly demanding world.

Therefore, I strive to facilitate a space where young people can be seen and heard holistically. I welcome their thoughts, ideas, knowledge and creativity as I help them navigate their struggles.

Finally, I pay close attention to the way social and environmental phenomena impact young people in a post-COVID world and to the effect of technological change, social media and video games on their body, mind, & spirit.
